Under the vines and rubble we spotted an absolutely BEAUTIFUL building, peaking out, waiting to be restored to its former glory! We have, unfortunately, been hit with Covid mandates for 2021 and inflation that is unheard-of for 2022. Due to this, we have had setbacks on the restoration efforts. Don’t fret, we are more dedicated than ever to turn this beauty into a 5 Star Boutique Motel regardless of time frame and obstacles being thrown at us.

We offer exciting River Tubing and River Events, from providing the equipment needed for your Dan River tubing, kayaking, or rafting experience, to a luxury glamping stay after a hard day of play. Bring out your inner child (in all age groups). Come Enjoy our private takeout and wooded environment, Our new Connect Tubes offer an exciting, fun adventure on the water. Our goal is to provide a FUN, SAFE float, while preserving the RIVER along the way. We also have several Guided Dan River Float tours such as Full Moon floats and Firefly Floats. Riverfront accommodations via our floating tents or sky tents are available as well. All proceeds go to the restoration of Grogans Riverfront. Dan River Outfitters is based in Madison, NC near Greensboro, Winston-Salem and High Point, NC and Martinsville and Danville, VA. US 220 passes through Madison, connecting to Roanoke, VA and from there, the world! Take the worries of the world away, if only for a day!

Come take one of our classes and visit our NC registerd Wildlife Refuge. All mushrooms come from our property here in Madison NC. You will learn all about Mushrooms, Native Beneficial Plants, knowledge of growing delicious and nutritious mushrooms, and knowledge of making tinctures out of medicinal mushrooms. You will also learn sustainable cultivation techniques that require very little equipment, produce an abundance of mushrooms and help the rest of your garden grow more fully.
